Dynamo is a visual programming application that you can use to automate tasks in Civil 3D.
Installing Dynamo for Autodesk Civil 3D
Dynamo for Autodesk Civil 3D is integrated into the main Civil 3D installation. The Dynamo-related commands are available on the Manage ribbon tab in Civil 3D.
Sample Graphs and Associated Files
Sample graphs and associated drawing files are included with the Dynamo for Autodesk Civil 3D installation and are installed in the following locations:
- Dynamo Graphs. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D < product year >\Dynamo\Samples\en-US
- Drawings and associated files. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D < product year >\Dynamo\Samples\Data
On the Dynamo Start page, these samples are listed in the Samples section:
To use the samples, open the drawing that is associated with the graph and then run the graph. You can open the graph in the Dynamo editor to review it and run it, and you can also run the graph by using theDynamo Player.
